Principal's Message

Saratoga School Principal Kristin Murphy
Message from Principal Kristin Murphy
Greetings SES Families!
It is such a joy to welcome you to a brand-new school year! My name is Kristin Murphy, and I am proud to serve as the principal of this incredible Sea Turtle community. Each year, I am inspired by the dedication of our teachers and staff, the enthusiasm and curiosity of our students, and the support and partnership of our families. Together, we make Saratoga Elementary a place where learning, growth, and community thrive.
At the heart of our school is our Sea Turtle Way: “Always Be Safe, Always Be Kind, Always Be Responsible”. These guiding principles are more than just words on a poster, they shape how we learn, how we treat one another, and how we contribute to our school community each day. By practicing safety, kindness, and responsibility, our students learn what it means to care for themselves, respect others, and build a positive learning environment where everyone belongs. The Sea Turtle Way reminds us that success is not only measured in academics, but also in the character and compassion we show to those around us.
Equally important is our commitment to MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support), which allows us to meet the unique needs of every child. Through MTSS, we provide layered support that ensures students are challenged academically while also being supported socially and emotionally. We celebrate each student’s accomplishments, guide them through obstacles with care, and create an environment where every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. By focusing on the whole child, we help students develop not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. We help them build the resilience, empathy, and self-confidence that will serve them throughout their lives.
This year, we are filled with excitement for all the possibilities ahead. From classroom discoveries to building lasting friendships, from learning new skills to growing in empathy and resilience, there is so much to look forward to.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being part of this amazing community. Here’s to an incredible year ahead…..Go Sea Turtles!
With gratitude,
Kristin Murphy
